How to Create a Productive Vision Board in 6 Steps

A vision board is more than just pictures and words. It is important to align it with your life vision and mission. I think of my mine as all the dreams I have, that I will work smart to make a reality. They are also some of the life goals that I will achieve by proper planning.

If you’re wondering why vision boards don’t work…wonder no more. I am living proof that they DO. Like anything in life, it takes effort to do great things.

The key to realizing all your grand dreams on your vision board is to ACTIVELY see it through.

A vision board has some or all of your dreams and goals put on paper in picture form. They are meant to inspire and encourage us to continue in our path to success.

My life goals are to be happier, healthier and live in harmony with myself and others. At the core of my vision is love. I am driven and anchored in love. Everything else stems from the core.

I have my vision board on my wall above my workspace to remind me of my bigger goals. I like to make post-it notes of the smaller daily goals on my mirror, fridge or bookcase.

If you do not have a vision or dream board yet, I encourage you to make one. Here are a few steps to ensure you have a good and well planned one below.

6 Steps to a productive vision board

Be Positive

Ensure you have positive words, statements or affirmations on your vision board. Having positive pictures will inspire you and motivate you to work towards achieving your goals. Positivity is an encouraging factor in life.

Goal orientated

Do the pictures depict your goals and dreams? The main reason for a vision board is to guide you and keep you driven to achieve your goals. Therefore, don’t just use nice pictures that don’t serve your purpose.

Keep your dreams alive. Understand to achieve anything requires faith and belief in yourself, vision, hard work, determination, and dedication. Remember all things are possible for those who believe.

Keep it neat

Creativity and having lots of pictures is nice. However, don’t make it untidy and cluttered. You do not want to be stuck looking at a mess every day. If your board is not well organized it clouds your focus and can be demotivating. So, make it as neat as possible, without it being bland.

Believe in it

No matter what you have up on your wall or goals you have written down. If you don’t believe in it, it won’t come to fruition. Believe in yourself and in your dreams.

You are so worth it. When doubt sets in, be quick to turn that flip and use your positive affirmations to realign.

Work on it

Having your vision board looking neat with positive images and aligned with your goals won’t help if you leave it at that. You need to have an action plan that you constantly work on to realize your dreams.

Only when you work on it will you know your progress and which areas need more work.

Reflect

Take time to reflect on your board daily or weekly. Then, take note of the opportunities you can use to help you realize your dreams.

Reflection will help you keep track of when you have achieved your goal and will inspire you to aim higher.

The best way to achieve your goals is to keep them top of mind. Therefore, a vision board is the best tool to help you keep your goals in sight so you move more towards achieving them.

A vision board is a visualization of your goals. Through the Law of Attraction, you will also magnetize and attract you people, resources, and opportunities needed to achieve your goals.

A vision you see daily will keep you motivated and you’ll soon start to do things that move you towards your ideal life. However, it is not enough to just have a vision if you don’t act on it.
